Hydrangea Twist

I haven't played with my murrini and shards for ages, but I got some lovely spring coloured murrini from Michelle at Sundoor Beads, so a great excuse for a play!

Now, do I sell it or keep it for me????

Glistening Grass

Well green is my favourite colour - add to that a bit of shimmer and you have a winning combination!

I really do love the shimmer effect on beads but I can only manage a limited number at any one time, as I make them towards the end of my torching session to make sure the shimmer doesn't get on to other beads!!

Good Enough To Eat .............

Almost, but perhaps not!!! I'm pushing myself to make "big hole beads" you know the kind that fit onto European Bracelet systems such as Pandora and Troll etc. And my sister Jojo said, why not have a go at cupcakes ............ so I did and here's the first one I made!

Promptly pinched by Jojo herself and is not living on her bracelet!!

More to come I think ............ and I have ideas for other ones too! Watch this space!

Valentine Butterfly

Hello there!

In my book, Valentine's is not just for couples - it's a day when you can say "I love you" to anyone you love! I like to make gifts for my sisters and for my aunty - and I sneak around early in the morning to deliver these gifts! Eek - today was Sunday - no lie in for me!

This I made for my aunty - I saw the tutorial in Beads and Beyond to make the wire butterflies, and I was itching to give it a go!!

So happy Valentine's everyone!!

The Wheels on The Bus

The Wheels on The Bus, originally uploaded by One Silly Moo.

Well I decided to have a go at the big hole beads - it was about time really!

So I made a set in 3 colours - lack, Pearl Pink and Pearl White - I like to call this combo Sophstication (This came from a set of beads I made a while ago, but tha's another story.........). So I made these, fitted them with sterling silver rivets and made a set of slightly smaller ones to match. My initial thought was that they'd be used on European / Pandora style bracelet. But Stacey (aka One Silly Moo) had other ideas!!! And I think that the result is pretty cool - this is why I love to see pictures from my customers!

Thanks Stacey!
