Change with your outfit!!

There's always been something very appealing about interchangeable jewellery, I can always remember being fascinated as a child when my watch had different coloured faces I could change, I think it's part due to the fiddle factor!!

Beside the fiddle factor, it's also very practical too!

I have a lovely red skirt, and at the bottom there are patches of red, orange and purple. These are not colours that I would normally wear together but they look great on the skirt! I had a special family occasion to go to, and planned to wear that skirt. Now it's not easy to get jewellery to go with these colours but the day before I planned ahead and made myself some big hole beads (BHB) the the colour combo and slipped them onto some chains!! The bracelet is a style that is designed for BHB's but for the necklace I just used a regular snake chain - quick and easy!

While I was at it, I made myself a few more in summery shades ... now I can chop and change polka colours to my heart's desire!

Bubble Beads

A few weeks ago I made a range of Bubble Big Hole beads ....

They're quite addictive and look different to other bracelet beads out there!! Well the past 2 days I've sold quite a few of them, so I've been making some more!

There's great excitement brewing on the Frit Happens forum! Shahlaa has organised a big hole bead swap with 3 themes - The Sea, playing with silver glass and Summer Nights!

It's getting close now and everyone is posting in their beads - but not only will we get other beads back, there are also prizes to be won . ohhh Matron!

Here's a quick picture of my Sea Themed ones .... not sure about the red one in the middle, that sould be in the Silver Glass pile!! Troublesome beads!!

Well I bought my bracelet a little while ago, and I've been collecting and making beads since - I finally now got the "look" as I want it and feel comfortable with!

All the lampies are mine (apart from the blue and ivory - which I got in the swap last year - thanks Ingrid!).

Now I need to make mpre beads in other colour combos .. must crack on!

Almost, but perhaps not!!! I'm pushing myself to make "big hole beads" you know the kind that fit onto European Bracelet systems such as Pandora and Troll etc. And my sister Jojo said, why not have a go at cupcakes ............ so I did and here's the first one I made!

Promptly pinched by Jojo herself and is not living on her bracelet!!

More to come I think ............ and I have ideas for other ones too! Watch this space!
