Azure Rose

Azure Rose , originally uploaded by Glittering Prize - Trudi.

A generously sized fine silver heart, textured with a delightful tree bark pattern and embellished with a tiny flower. All finished off with a yummy cluster of beads!

This was lovingly made by Corrina of Green River Studio, using my lampwork beads. To see more of her work please visit www.greenriverstudio.co.uk. and http://www.etsy.com/shop/greenriverstudio

On the road to Morocco .....

I belong to an online beading group (for jewellery and lampwork). And one of the challenges was entitles On The Road To Morocco.

In my mind I pictured a bustling market place, with lots of vibrant colours, and flashes of silky fabrics! So I picked out a variety of bright colours - reactive and sparkly frit (Goldstone) and made this set!

What do you think - did I capture the spirit of Morocco?

Golden Vortex

Golden Vortex 2, originally uploaded by Glittering Prize - Trudi.

Well the weather has been kinder these past few days for sure! In fact, yesterday was just delightful.

I was out in the studio melting glass, as is my want!! And on Saturday I was playing with my new lentil press that I love. Looking forward to some sunshine I grabbed some topaz, some goldstone and threw in some silver glass frit and murrini - and this is the result!!
And do you know what ................. I'mgoing to keep it.

Infact, I'm wearing it now!!

Caribbean

I was so thrilled when Nia bought some of my beads, even more thrilled when I saw this beautiful bracelet that she made with them. I think that the beads sit perfectly with the silver squares and give it that "I want to touch" it appeal!

Snow Shimmer by Mandy Jeyes

Here's some more jewellery made by one of my customers! Very fitting considering the weather conditions don't you think - although I much prefer this type of snow!!

I really love how Mandy has put these together, she has a wonderful design flair. I can see me wearing these!

I just love getting pictures of work back from my customers - it kind of completes the journey as it were.

These were made by the lovely Lesley of Gemonie Jewelery - she was born here in the UK before moving Statside - and you can see more of her work at www.gemoniejewelry.com

Just lovely!

Thanks for the picture Lesley!

Fire Swirl Necklace - A Winner!

Well I'm sitting here with Man Flu (Passed on from the Men in the office coughing and spluttering away) feeling a bit sorry for myself. But when I logged onto my online group I found that I was Jewellery Artist of the month for December!

I won it for this necklace. Made with my own lampwork bead - this was a stocking filler for my sister. I'll have to tell now it's an award winner!!

Well it certainly made me fell better - CHEERS!
